The large wraparound deck on this home is very welcoming for any season. The large windows from the main floor of the kitchen offer lots of sunshine. The open kitchen is stocked with a coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and lots of pots/ pans. The living room has a wood fireplace and a large comfortable sectional plus other chairs. On the main floor, the home has two bedrooms with queen beds and a bedroom with a full-size bed. There are two full-size bathrooms on the main floor as well. The loft upstairs has a full-size sleeper sofa, a big entertainment center outfitted with a television, DVD player, and CD changer. This will be a nice place for the kids to watch movies. Entertain downstairs or out on the big deck. The downstairs offers fun for the family with a recreation room with a ping pong table. There is a bunk room with three twins over full bunk beds and a TV, a full bathroom, and a laundry room. There is also an additional smaller bunk room with a twin over full bunk bed off of the recreation room. This home offers a magnificent view of the lake from the deck and driveway. The driveway is large enough for parking boats and several vehicles, however, it is pea gravel. This home is located in the Four Seasons gated community. Lakeview Cedar Chalet is not pet-friendly.

We made several big meals in the kitchen and it was great to have a table where we could all sit together. We spent some time in the hot tub and the ping pong room - awesome to have those amenities. There was some general wear and tear that other reviewers have noted, but since we were out on the lake most of the time, we didn't think too much of it. If you're wondering about kitchen supplies - there were several salt and pepper shakers and dishwasher tabs and tons of coffee filters.

Though a bit secluded, our family had a great weekend at this house! We had plenty of space for 8 adults & 6 children. The state parks in the area were beautiful & the goat farm is not to be missed. My only small complaint about the house was that we needed more kitchen towels. Thank you!

Overall it’s a good cabin if you want to be secluded & barely any tvs. Thank goodness we don’t watch tv a lot. Because there are only 2 tvs in the whole house and they’re at weird places. In the bunk room and on the 3rd story room. It’s outdated but beds did sleep good. Looks like a newer gas grill we used 2 nights and the hot tub was clean. Overall we had a good time. But the pictures need to be updated. It’s not exactly what the pictures make it out to be.

This was the perfect vacation home for our large family! We had 15 of us that came to TN for a week from Maryland to visit family and have our family vacation and the house was great! Beautiful views of the lake, updated everything! The company was so easy to work with too! We would definitely stay again!

We stayed at this cabin after coming into town for a wedding. We had 6 groomsmen and their wives and it was perfect! Tons of space and all the furniture was really nice. There was a hot tub and a ping pong table so we had a lot of fun with those. The views are gorgeous. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay here at the cabin, there was plenty of space for the kids to run around outside, and spread out when we were inside. The realty company was very easy to work with the couple of issues we found with a couple, and they were fixed. This was a very relaxing place to hang out with our other two families totaling 12 people. I would stay here again if nothing else for the view of the water down below. It is about a mile walk to the nearest marina, which we did while we were there. I was able to run about a 4 mile loop in the neighborhood with some great hills and good views!

The property is nicer in the pictures than in person which was to be expected. The furniture could be updated. The carpet in the basement needs pulled up and replaced. Some ceiling tiles showed signs they had leaked at some point and they could be replaced. A lot of walking up and down 2 stories to get to your vehicle then back up to the living area. Two major downsides were that there is virtually no safe area for kids to play outside and you are 30 min from the nearest store or even gas station. We did overall enjoy our stay.

Our family got together in the middle of the state for a weekend retreat. It was a great location with lots of room. We were able to get out and hike the hills...saw lots of deer. Very quiet. You do need to be able to maneuver stairs to get in the home.
The home itself could use a little updating. The stove is falling apart. Parts of the window in the kitchen was falling off. A hole in the wall going down the lower stairs. Just little things but it would improve the home.

We had a great time and over 38 of us at our family reunion. We had 3 families stay at the house.The house was just o.k. need of some updates, outside decking not well maintained and was not cleaned as the contract stated. Well stocked and everything inside the house was as stated. Would rent again with more cleaning prior to rental.

We were there for two nights and were generally pleased with the property. They supply enough (toilet paper, dish washer detergent, dish soap) for two nights but you may want to bring an SOS or Brillo pad for the heavy duty pots if you are cooking. We had 5 couples so each couple got a bed room - some better than others. You need to be able to negotiate stairs.

We had a family of 10 stay in the chalet and had plenty of room. Nicely equipped, clean, and quiet. It's remote and only a short 5 minute drive to the marina where you can dock and/or refuel a boat. Fishing from the shore was fun where we caught good size bass & crappie. Plenty of room for all to eat together in the kitchen for family meals. It could use a little updating, but we all had a great time. Went to the Nashville Zoo about an hour or so away and was pleasantly surprised. Best zoo we have visited in a long time. Customer service was great. Thanks Cedar Hill for the nice stay!

We had a great time at this house. 5 families all got together right after Christmas and this was perfect! The bunk room in the lower level was huge and great for all of the bigger kids. We brought a couple of air mattresses for the little kids and some slept on the floor in the bunk room and others in the separate bedrooms. For a house this big and with this many people, we did run out of silverware, but the house did provide a bunch. There were plastic bowls and plates for the little kids. There were lots of towels in the house, and then most of us brought a couple too so there were enough. There definitely weren't enough dish towels though and no hot pads for getting things out of the oven. The main room had a great view and was nice and open with a huge table. There isn't anything close by, but that's not what we were looking for so it was perfect. We pretty much stayed at the house or went for short walks around the property/neighborhood and that was it. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure was good and hot enough. I would recommend bringing your own dish soap and dishwasher detergent, as well as some laundry products if you plan on doing laundry while you're there. Overall, I would highly recommend this house to your family!!!

We had 9 adults and 5 children in our party. This house worked well for us. It's in a beautiful location, the house is nice, and the open floor plan is great.
The only issue, as others mentioned, was the number of bathrooms. I wish there had been just one more.

There were 9 of us ladies and we had a wonderful time. We rented the Lakeview Cedar Chalet in Smithville, TN. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. It had enough seating so that we could all gather together in the main room. We had a beautiful view of the lake as well.
With that said we do have a few recommendations. We knew that this chalet was not handicap accessible but there were 9 of us ages mid 60's-mid 70's and none of us have a handicap issues. But I would like to recommend a railing for the outdoor stairs. When you enter the chalet it is not on the main floor so you have another narrow flight of stairs. So there are a lot of stairs to climb when you are bringing in a lot of stuff. I am mentioning this in case you want to bring an older person with you if you rent this cabin. One other small detail, the 2 can openers in the kitchen are in dire need of replacement.
We had a wonderful time and we would recommend this chalet to friends.

This was the perfect place to have a family vacation. We have a large family and the space was large enough to accommodate us all without feeling like we were on top of each other. There was a ping pong table downstairs which was fun for games. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the hot tub was perfect to relax in the evening time. The staff was responsive to every request. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this place.

Excellent property. Courteous and efficient staff at the main office. Clean. Comfortable chalet lay-out. Really does need a third bathroom to accommodate the number of bed space available. My family wants to return here next December.

We met a small group of our extended family here and had an amazing holiday weekend together. There was plenty of space for everyone and the large space downstairs with the ping pong table was perfect for all the little guys (we had 4 kids with us ages 4-11). The grocery store wasn't too far, but could take a while to get to due to the winding road, I would recommend bringing what you need at the beginning and plan to limit the trips you need to make in. With it being the end of summer bugs were out in full force so we didn't take full advantage of the outdoor areas but there were great views from the tables and balconies and the community pool was a ton of fun!

We planned our vacation to do several different things. Once we got to the chalet we had family visit from oaklahoma we haven't seen in 13 years . They were staying close by so we just had great visits, rented a boat and made memories. The place is beautiful, only down fall would be that we needed another bathroom. We had 15 people staying & it would have been nice. Would love to come back.

Overall, nice experience. Liked the lake view. Eight in our group. Plenty of room (dining, beds, outside seating). Large screen porch and outside hot tub were nice. The two small baths were inconvenient for our group. The one thermostat did not allow a comfortable temperature to be set on both floors (the basement was considerably colder than the main floor).

The property has most of the essentials. It's very secluded. Our whole group loved that area. The neighbors were really polite and the hiking in the area is great for all-level hikers.
