Eat, Drink, and Be Merry at Center Hill Lake

When traveling, it’s always fun to ask, “Where do the locals go for fun and food?” Holly Sheets, Escape to Center Hill’s vacation property manager, shares her favorites and passion for the Center Hill Lake area so you can feel like a local while you’re visiting one of our properties!

The Harvester provides all kinds of live events ranging from stand-up comedy to theater, to live music (of all types). It is hands-down the best venue here. Center Hill sponsors a lot of the events so you may run into some of our staff while you’re out!

The Burlap Room Beer Garden & Live Music at Bert Driver Nursery is an outdoor venue. It often hosts themed events such as Day of the Dead, Earth Day, etc., with live music. (We sponsor many of the events.)

Ace's Steak, Seafood and Italian Restaurant is on the square. They have amazing entrees, special events and beautiful setting. They, too, have special events such as Aaron Tippin wine tasting night, with Stonehaus Winery (owners of Stonehaus live locally, as does Aaron Tippin.)

Twisted Oaks has numerous events. Trivia night, karaoke, bands, American Idol, Djs, dancing, etc. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is on point.

The Arts Garage in downtown Smithville has many events, including painting group parties.
