The pictures really don't do the views justice, and everything was so clean and thoughtfully arranged. Our group of 14 felt like we had more than enough space both inside and outside. I highly recommend the property to large groups looking to get away!

Our family of 11 had a nice 4 day stay at The Fade Away home. It was comfortable for all of us. The downstairs game area was great for the 4 teenage cousins to stay busy & spend time together. The small natural waterfall by the house was cute & we even drank the water. Fresh & cold. The boat dock about 15 min from the house was a great way to get out on the lake. Fishing & paddle boarding. Make a reservation ahead of time though. I would recommend this house to larger family's.

This was a great place for our family reunion. We loved the kitchen and outdoor seating options. We hiked the waterfall hikes during the day and the cousins played pool and ping pong all evening while we all made memories together!

The location was a great location with a lake view. The house was very clean (and the same when we left we cleaned it very well). It had a lot of board games and table games that kept us entertained and all sorts of cable channels and movies. The only recommendation we have, the kitchen sink is very small compared to the house and the number of people the house welcome, maybe the owner consider installing a bigger kitchen sink and also putting another refrigerator in the first level of the house (one refrigerator is small for a group of friends for few nights). Outside, the balconies were great with tables and chairs and an amazing view. Overall, we enjoyed our time in this property. Thank you

Great house for lots of people… we had 4 families (8 adults and 11 kids) and the space was perfect. We enjoyed exploring the property. It would have been nice to have a bit more green space. It's about a 20-25 min drive to local attractions, but we still enjoyed hiking, golf, and a winery. The house itself was awesome, and the kitchen had what we needed.

We loved the space! The Common areas are huge and perfect to hang out with family or friends. I would say 3 couples w kids is max as the majority of beds are in small bunk room. Bunks are comfortable as I am 6’2” and slept in one for 2 nights. The deck and view are incredible! Thanks for sharing your place!
Note the railings inside and out could use some reinforcements...

We traveled with a group of 14 made up of four families. We absolutely LOVED the open space for such a large group to enjoy spending time together! The table was amazing for everyone to sit down and enjoy dinner together. Having plenty of space in the kitchen was great to prepare such large meals.
The best was having four rooms for the adults with bathrooms. We all felt that we had plenty of privacy and the master bathroom was awesome!! The bunk room for the kids was enjoyable with the individual lights.
The view was beautiful, the house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we all enjoyed our stay.
One thing to point out is that you really are secluded. We brought everything with us and were happy as a trip to the grocery would have been quite the trek. However, we were prepared and didn’t plan on going out.

Overall the lodge was great. Make note that the bunk room is definitely meant for kids/teenagers as it was a bit squished for grown men! Also, no fault of owners but the Japanese beetles were everywhere (inside and out!).

Our family enjoyed our stay at FadeAway- we especially appreciated the large living area and eating area! The outdoor privacy was exceptional. The large decking area made it possible for all of us to have room to be alone or be together. The style of the house was beautiful, with the A frame design and window size. There is always items that can be critiqued and in this case only to help the owner long term I will mention a few items that need repaired:
1. Some of the wires in the railing were broken causing a concern for my children with you kids.
2. Some of the windows in the kitchen area would not shut completely- the locks are broken off
3. Some of the doors wont shut without a lot of effort
4. There appeared to be many light bulbs outside that didn't work- that or I couldn't find the correct switch.
5. Many of the overhead fans under the deck were not operational
6. It would be nice to have an instruction sheet describing operational items such as light switches
7. Light switches inside could have a tag below them explaining their function
8. Additional overhead lighting in the kitchen would help- it is dark
General maintenance repairs would make this even better- but we still loved our stay!

Everything was perfect for our little family reunion. the view was absolutely beautiful. We had room for all 17 of us. I loved the kitchen table we could all sit at. There was lots of things to do close by. We went swimming, hiking, saw several water falls, went in caves, and we rented a large pontoon boat. The home was warm and inviting, I loved how the home was decorated. Thank you to the owners for sharing your beautiful home.

This place is very nice, but I was so disappointed that I wasn't told that I would not be able to count on using the master bath as it was being remodeled. Consequently that made the bathroom situation a bit more of an inconvenience to us. I felt like they could have mentioned this to me beforehand. Other than that situation, everything else was nice. We did have a bit of trouble with the fridge not being cold but they were prompt in fixing that ! The view is wonderful and the rec area was great to house my whole family down there. The furniture is very nice and comfortable and the table that can seat the whole family is great also. The decor is very nice. The bath remodel situation is the only thing that was a bummer. Other than that, It was great

The property was amazing. There was not one thing that it didn't have that we needed. There were 7 girls and 7 women with plenty of room to spare. The kitchen was big enough for all 7 women and girls to cook with any kitchen appliance or utensil you could possibly need. The outside has breathtaking views with plenty of room to spread out. The house was about 20 minutes to many of the falls and city life.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this home. It’s grand entrance, a cooks kitchen, the decor, the outdoor spaces, the views, and squeaky clean. I will be renting this lovely escape to fade away again as soon as I can do so and I will most definitely recommend to friends. Oh and the staff at the rental office were great too!

The house was beautiful and had plenty of room for my high school softball team and coaches to stay. We had to book it last minute due to another house falling through, and they were very accommodating. Not much around as far as food and such, but that was a plus for us. Cookeville is not a far drive and has everything you would want to eat and for entertainment. Loved everything about the house and the view. Will for sure stay again!

The house was as described and as pictured-roomy and charming. We had enough beds and we loved that there was enough silverware and dinnerware for everyone in our party. The only slight issues we had were figuring out lights and their switches in the kitchen and living room and some of the over/under lighting in the kitchen didn’t work, making the room a little darker than wanted. Also, due to no blinds/curtains on the large windows in the living room, the sun streamed in onto the tv, making viewing difficult. But these were not big issues and didn’t detract from the enjoyment of our stay.

Kitchen was very large as well as the dining area. Beautifully decorated and welcoming! Game area downstairs for kids helped separate groups when more quiet time was wanted. Our family has grown in the last 15 years we've been doing this yearly Thanksgiving getaway - this cabin was large enough to accommodate all of us comfortably!

This home was the perfect vacation home. It was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the gorgeous view and the spacious decks. There was plenty of room for our whole family. We will definitely return! Five stars all the way around!

We came to Fadeaway Cabin for Labor Day weekend from Nashville. We stayed with 2 other couples (6 adults and 10 kids).
This weekend was incredible. The location of the cabin is perfect. It sits on 12 acres of land so its feels secluded. the cabin has a fantastic view of the lake (and gourgeous sky at night).
The main living area is huge and had plenty of seating for all of us. The kitchen and dining roomm which are adjacent to living room, are also very large and can accomodate all of us.
We loved the decor in all the rooms. The beds were all very comfortable. The bunk room is amazing (the 7 oldest kids slept there and I'm sure theyll have memories for years).
Probably our favorite part was the game room. Foosball, pool table, ping ping, even dart board and lots of board games.
The cabin is about 1.5 miles away from a small beach where the kids swam and we kayaked.
Life with children is about making memories and lots were made this weekend.

Such a beautiful and cozy get away! Stunning views, very private and fully stocked for any size group. If you even want to leave the lodge, it’s a short drive to the amazing Burgess Falls and the Window Cliffs for hiking and even more breathtaking views.
